Alicia Silverstone Biography
Alicia Silverstone is an American actress born on October 4, 1976. She made her film debut in the 1993 thriller The Crush, winning the 1994 MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. Silverstone gained further recognition as a teen idol by appearing in Aerosmith's music videos for 'Cryin'' and 'Crazy'. Her breakout role came in the teen comedy Clueless (1995), which led to a lucrative deal with Columbia Pictures. In 1997, she portrayed Batgirl in the superhero film Batman & Robin. Silverstone received a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the television series Miss Match (2003). She has continued to act in both film and television and has also written two cookbooks, The Kind Diet (2009) and The Kind Mama (2014).
