Domhnall Gleeson is an Irish actor and screenwriter, born on May 12, 1983. He is the son of renowned actor Brendan Gleeson. Domhnall earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts from Dublin Institute of Technology. He began his career by directing and writing short films, and later received a Tony Award nomination for his role in the Broadway production The Lieutenant of Inishmore. Some of his notable film appearances include the Harry Potter film series, About Time, and Unbroken. Domhnall has won three IFTA Awards for his performances in When Harvey Met Bob, Anna Karenina, and Frank. He continues to receive recognition and praise for his work in various Academy Award-nominated films.
