Lou Ferrigno Biography
Lou Ferrigno, born on November 9, 1951, is an American actor and retired professional bodybuilder. He gained fame as a bodybuilder, winning an IFBB Mr. America title and two consecutive IFBB Mr. Universe titles. Ferrigno's bodybuilding career was highlighted in the documentary film Pumping Iron. However, he is best known for his portrayal of the title role in the CBS television series The Incredible Hulk. He also voiced the character in animated and computer-generated versions. In addition to his Hulk role, Ferrigno has appeared in European-produced fantasy-adventures like Sinbad of the Seven Seas and Hercules. He made guest appearances as himself in the sitcom The King of Queens and the 2009 comedy I Love You, Man. Ferrigno was born in Brooklyn, New York, and is of Italian descent. He experienced hearing loss and a speech impediment from a young age.
