Neil Dudgeon Biography
Neil Dudgeon (born 2 January 1961) is an English actor known for his role as DCI John Barnaby in the ITV drama series Midsomer Murders since 2010. He took over the lead role from John Nettles in 2011. Born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, Dudgeon attended Intake Secondary Modern school before studying drama at the University of Bristol. He made his screen debut in 1987 and gained recognition for his role as a Second World War pilot in the series Piece of Cake. In addition to Midsomer Murders, Dudgeon has appeared in various TV shows including Casualty, London's Burning, and Lovejoy.
