Patrick Warner Biography
Patrick Warner is an Irish-Canadian author residing in St. John's, Newfoundland. He is known for his works in both novels and poetry. Warner has received numerous awards for his writing, including the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts and Letters Award, the Newfoundland Book Award, the Percy Janes First Novel Award, and the Independent Publisher Regional Fiction Award. He emigrated from County Mayo, Ireland to Newfoundland in 1980 and attended Memorial University of Newfoundland, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in English and Anthropology. Warner later obtained a Masters in Library and Information Sciences from the University of Western Ontario. He currently works as a special collections librarian at the Queen Elizabeth II Library at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
