Raymond John Barry is an American film, television, and stage actor. He was born on March 14, 1939, in Hempstead, New York. Barry is best known for his nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male for his role in the film Steel City. He is married to writer Robyn Mundell and they have four children together. Barry's father, Raymond Barry, worked in sales, while his mother, Barbara Constance Barry, was also an actor. Barry has a diverse heritage, with Canadian, Irish, and Swedish roots. He graduated from Brown University in 1962 with a degree in Philosophy and later completed the Yale Drama School. In addition to his film work, Barry has appeared in over 75 plays.
