What is Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation about?

Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation (MONSTERS 一百三情飛龍侍極) is a Japanese original net animation (ONA) produced by E&H Production, based on the one-shot manga Monsters by Eiichiro Oda, published by Shueisha in the Autumn Special issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1994. The original one-shot manga was both written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. The chapter was later collected in the ''Wanted! Eiichiro Oda Short Stories'' volume, released on November 4, 1998. In July 2023, it was announced that Monsters would receive an anime adaptation, later revealed to be an original net animation, set to premiere on Netflix in January 2024. The anime is directed by Sunghoo Park, who also serves as the composer, and is animated by E&H Production. Takashi Kojima is the character designer, with Fuminao Akai as art director and Ryoji Nagasawa as the color designer.
