Anna-Louise Plowman is a New Zealand actress born on 9 May 1972. She attended Samuel Marsden Collegiate School in Wellington and studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art as well as the Lecoq School in Paris. Plowman is known for her roles in various TV shows and movies. She portrayed consultant anaesthetist Annalese Carson in Holby City, Sarah Gardner/Osiris in Stargate SG-1, and Diana Goddard in the Doctor Who story 'Dalek' in 2005. Plowman has also appeared in the TV mini-series Cambridge Spies as Melinda MacLean. From 2016 to 2017, she played the role of chamber maid Mrs. Hudson in the series Black Sails. Plowman is married to actor Toby Stephens, and they reside in London.
