Jeremy Clyde, born Michael Jeremy Thomas Clyde on March 22, 1941, is an English actor and musician. He gained fame in the 1960s as one-half of the folk duo Chad & Jeremy, alongside Chad Stuart. Their hit song 'Yesterday's Gone' achieved success in the United States but had limited impact in the UK. Clyde has since pursued a successful career in television acting, often portraying upper-middle class or aristocratic characters. He was born in Dorney, Buckinghamshire, to Lady Elizabeth Wellesley and Thomas Clyde. Through his maternal line, Clyde is a great-great-great-grandson of Arthur Wellesley, the 1st Duke of Wellington, and is related to the current Duke of Wellington. Clyde attended Ludgrove School and Eton College.
