Tray Chaney is an American actor known for his role as Poot Carr on the HBO program The Wire. He also appears on the Bounce TV soap opera Saints & Sinners as Kendrick. Chaney began his entertainment career as a dancer, winning competitions at the Apollo Theater from a young age. He gained recognition in the 2003 music video 'My Baby' by Bow Wow and later appeared in The Wire BET Promo Shoot commercial in 2006. Additionally, Chaney has made appearances on America's Most Wanted. He is also an author, having released his self-published book 'The Truth You Can't beTray' in 2007. Chaney grew up in Forestville, Maryland and currently resides in Clinton, Maryland with his wife.
